Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of engagement strategies, measuring effectiveness, and adjusting strategies as needed.
- Supporting and delivering community engagement initiatives in regional areas, particularly targeting First Nations Communities, to distribute important health messages.
- Providing advice to clients about appropriate communication and engagement strategies for diverse audiences.
- Develop and nurture important relationships with clients across Queensland Health, including Hospital and Health Services, other Queensland Government agencies and key First Nations stakeholders across the health sector.
- Transforming complex written information into accessible and relevant content for diverse audiences and channels.
- Oversee the preparation, production, and distribution of communication materials, ensuring alignment with the organisation's strategic direction.
Collaborating across teams within the Strategic Communications Branch and other divisions.
About you
We're looking for someone who is passionate about community engagement, with proven experience engaging with, and developing communications for, First Nations communities; with the motivation to continually improve communication and engagement strategies that will support better health outcomes for all Queenslanders.
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex engagement and communication projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating your ability to collaborate and establish lasting professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and clients.
- Adept project management skills, with the ability to strategically plan and oversee the delivery of multiple concurrent projects and priories.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
