Exciting Multicultural Community focused role in Wollongong!
We are seeking a passionate Community & Activity Officer to join our team on a full-time basis until 30 June 2025, with the possibility of extension. The role will be based in the Illawarra Shoalhaven Region (Wollongong).
We offer a competitive salary to the right candidate with salary range starting from 93,295 up to $102,941 per annum plus 11% superannuation and 17.5% leave loading.

About the role
The Community & Activity Officer is an exciting new position promoting and implementing Office of Sport programs and initiatives via community engagement and facilitation.
The role fosters relationships and alliances with partner groups to facilitate and deliver initiatives that contribute to providing opportunities for clients including underrepresented groups.
In this role you will be required to:
· Undertake consultation and collaboration with target groups and sector partners to support the development of programs to maximise the benefits of sport and active recreation to everyone in the region, including newly arrived refugees and diverse communities, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islanders, people with disability and other priority populations.
· Coordinate the delivery of customer centric programs and services identified in regional and branch plans
· Facilitate and deliver programs and activities within agency facilities and on the premises of other partner organisations
· Foster relationships and alliances with partner groups such as Multicultural Community Council of Illawarra, SCARF Refugee Support, Red Cross.
· Support the implementation of promotional strategies.

Essential requirements
· Satisfactory National Criminal Records check result
· Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance
