Community Centre Officer

PermanentPart-time (38 hours per fortnight)

As a Community Centre Officer, you will ensure efficient operation and promotion of the Mary Davies Library and Community Centre and the Baldivis South Community Centre. This involves acting as the first point of contact for facility users, supporting community groups with running activities at the centres and ensuring the facility is well presented at all times.

Your responsibilities include administration in regards to the facilities, customer service and promoting the centres as a resource for the community and assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, business and marketing plans to maximise facility use, income generation opportunities and community capacity and engagement objectives.

To be the successful candidate, you will have experience in a customer focussed environment, working as part of a team and also frequently working autonomously where you will be able to demonstrate sound independent decision making skills.

Your proficiency with technology means you are comfortable troubleshooting basic problems and are able to assist other users. You are helpful, proactive and flexible.

1. Understanding of local government services and functions
2. Experience in a customer service focused role
3. Demonstrated high level of attention to detail
4. Well-developed problem solving and conflict resolution skills including the ability to meet deadlines
5. General understanding of, and ability to troubleshoot a range of technologies and audio visual equipment
6. Ability to obtain a satisfactory National Police Clearance

We are offering a gross salary of $74,999 per annum pro-rata, as well as:

• 11% superannuation with the opportunity to co-contribute up to 5%
