The Division
The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.
About the role
The primary purpose of the role is to assist in the development and delivery of a full range of effective internal and external strategic stakeholder engagement services and programs. This includes supporting the development and delivery of internal and external strategic engagement to ensure stakeholders and customers have access to consistent, accurate, relevant, and timely information.
Ideally based out of the North Coast (Grafton), this role is expected to provide services across community consultation, communications and engagement strategies, customer information, and issues management.
About you
A successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in developing communication and stakeholder engagement strategies and plans while providing support in the delivery through events, workshops, and community consultation activities. Expertise in writing comprehensive messaging with the ability to translate and tailor complex information to suit diverse stakeholder groups.
Proven experience in the management of stakeholder issues, liaising with media units, customer enquiries, and acting as an interface for various projects or programs is key to your success in this role. Ideally, you’ll have an understanding of Transport for NSW initiatives and have experience in supporting highly sensitive projects in a matrix structure embedded within the program office.
We are looking for a passionate, pragmatic & collaborative champion of good customer service who can develop and deliver outstanding communication and stakeholder initiatives. Your ability to respond quickly in a fast-paced ever-changing environment, along with your highly effective collaborative relationships will see you excel in this role and beyond.

Essential requirements
Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. media, communications, public relations) and/or equivalent industry experience.
Possess a valid Australian motor vehicle driver license and willingness to work outside regular working hours and travel on occasion.

Salary and Benefits
Unified Salary Scale (USS) Grade 8 ($104,181– $111,796) plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
