About the Opportunity
This is an exciting new opportunity to join a diverse and dynamic Community Development Team. This role is responsible for working alongside internal and external stakeholders to oversee the delivery of Mitchell Shire's Health and Wellbeing Plan 2021 - 2025.
Tasks for this role include:
- Working alongside internal teams and external organisations to deliver strategies and oversee reporting of the Health and Wellbeing Plan 2021 - 2025.
- Leading community capacity building projects, events and activities supporting LGBTIQ+ residents and allies, First Nations and multicultural communities.
- Facilitation of the Health & Wellbeing Network.
This role is a Permanent, Full-time opportunity with a Monthly ADO. Remuneration begins at $85.9K to $93.4K (Band 6) plus superannuation.
About You
You may be a recent graduate looking to apply your academic skills and gain hands on experience or you may be experienced in the delivery and development of strategic plans looking to apply your skills in a community environment. The successful candidate will have experience, qualifications or a background in Public Health, Health Promotion or Community Development. They will have experience and/or qualifications in implementing social policy and strategic framework development and experience and/or qualifications in developing, implementing and evaluating initiatives using project management principles.
