About you and this position:
Reporting to Manager, Community Services & Social Development, you will:
Implement Council’s Children’s Plan
Develop and implement Council’s Youth Plan
Facilitate Council’s Youth Advisory Committee
Review and support Council’s children and youth participation and engagement opportunities
Build relationships with schools, organisations, clubs, groups and individuals who work with Children & young people in the area
Identify opportunities to partner with organisations, individuals and groups and turn ideas into action utilising the partnership
Undertake social research with Children & young people to provide relevant local context to issues of interest
As a successful candidate, you will have:
Essential
Diploma or higher in Community Work or Social Science or Education is essential
Working with Children Check or willing to obtain is essential
Desirable
Experience working in a Community Development role
Knowledge of local government
To be successful, candidates will also be required to complete a pre-employment medical and submit a police clearance.
This position is a full time, fixed term (3 years) position and is classified as a Grade 4 under the City of Campbelltown Municipal Staff Enterprise Agreement (and relevant Award).
