RAC is an integral part of the community of WA, widely respected for its efforts in shaping safe, sustainable and connected communities. We work with our members to actively discuss local issues, co-design solutions and get involved to make a lasting positive impact in the community. WE deliver tools and training that allow our members and the wider community to connect, volunteer, gain new skills and learn about important issues. This opportunity is being offered as a Full time permanent role, based in West Perth.
About the Role
Reporting to the Manager of Community Impact & Engagement. In this position, you will lead and coordinate member and Community Engagement initiatives to inspire positive change and contribute to a safer, sustainable, and connected Western Australia. Other key responsibilities include;
Develop and deliver both member and Community Engagement initiatives and events throughout Western Australia.
Provide support to RAC's Youth Membership, focusing on fostering engagement within the younger generation.
Build strong relationships with both internal and external partners to increase awareness and enhance the effectiveness of RAC's member and Community Engagement efforts.
Find opportunities to engage members and communities that promote positive behaviours, aiming for a safer, more sustainable, and better-connected Western Australia.
Collaborate with colleagues to create and put in place processes for managing risks and contracts, health and safety protocols, and plans for promotions, campaigns, and activities.
Update and improve online content on RAC's website and intranet to communicate effectively with members and the community.
Help assess, evaluate, and report on how well Community Engagement initiatives are performing, looking for ways to make improvements.
What experience are we looking for?
You have a demonstrated track record in Community Engagement, youth engagement, or community development roles, coupled with strong leadership skills in coordinating diverse projects and events concurrently. Your ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders, maintain positive relationships, and thrive in fast-paced environments is crucial. Bring your expertise in creating and optimising processes, along with any previous experience in communications or marketing, as we work together to make a positive impact on our community.
