The Role
We have an new opportunity for a Community Engagement Support Officer to join the Youth and Community Development department on a permanent full-time basis.
As the Community Engagement Support Officer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of high-quality Community Engagement strategies and approaches for the Town of Port Hedland. This position brings together functions that support our communities to be thriving, sustainable and resilient.
Reporting to the Senior Community Development Officer, this role will support stakeholders in delivering engagement activities including community groups, workshops, community forums and educational engagement sessions. The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellent stakeholder engagement and high-level interpersonal and customer service skills.

Work-Related Requirements
The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

• National Police Clearance
• Current 'C' class driver's licence
• Rights to work in Australia
• Qualifications and/or relevant experience in community services, social sciences, sociology, communications, marketing or related areas.
