It includes the delivery of four new underground stations, two new above-ground stations, accessibility rebuilds for six stations, the construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, and the introduction of a new world-class ‘ETCS' signalling system.This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work on one of Australia's largest infrastructure projects and to be a part of something that will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.About the RoleThe Cross River Rail Experience Centre in Brisbane's CBD is a state-of-the-art Community Engagement and education hub developed in partnership with the Queensland Museum, which provides detailed project information, digital engagement experiences, and learning opportunities. As one of our Community Engagement Officers you will be representing and promoting Cross River Rail to visiting members of the public and school groups, as well as assisting with off-site Community Engagement events.This opportunity is presented as an ongoing casual position. The Experience Centre opens six days per week and our program of Community Engagement events are regularly scheduled on weekends, which may involve early starts or evening finish times as well as travel to sites outside of Brisbane's CBD. We are seeking applications from people who have flexible availability on weekdays as well as weekends. Attractive penalty rates apply to weekend work.Responsibilities include:
- Provide friendly and quality front of house service to visitors and stakeholders.
- Assist to deliver public programs including guided tours, holiday activities, education programs and events and functions.
- Open and close the Experience Centre and maintain cleanliness of the site.
- Set up and dismantle displays, workshops, children's activities, and presentations at external venues as well as the Experience Centre.
- Administrative duties including telephone and email enquiries, bookings and data entry.
- Identify and report basic faults in relation to exhibits and AV equipment.
- Ensure health and safety procedures, policies and standards are met.
