About the role
We are seeking a dedicatedCommunity Engagement Lead! You will use a capacity building approach to work in partnership with the South East, Communities for Children partner organisations to develop and promote programs that focus on achieving better outcomes for children pre-birth to 12 years and their families.
Responsibilities include
- Experience in delivering programs and activities for children, pre-birth-12 years, and their families
- Knowledge of social inclusion and strategies for 'hard to engage' families
- Computer literacy, with experience in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Graphic Design program
- Highly developed communication skills e.g. oral, written, and interpersonal
- Evaluation, data collection and report writing skills
- Ability to exercise high level of judgment and initiative
This is a fixed-term part-time position, 30.4 hours per week contracted until June 2026, based in Derwent Park, TAS. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Award Level 5.
What you will have
- Relevant tertiary degree or Diploma with at least 3 years' experience OR
- Significant experience in the non-government sector
- Well established networks in non-government sector and experience in working with State and Federal Government funding agencies
- Demonstrated success in Community Development and capacity building activities/programs
- Current Valid Driver's Licence
- Occasional interstate travel and regular intrastate travel
