  • Location Albury, other locations negotiable, WFH Flexible
  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $108,119 to $121,982 + super

The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water is currently seeking to appoint a Community Engagement Officerto join Biodiversity, Conservation and Science.

The focus of the role will be on engaging with communities as part of the Reconnecting River Country Program.

In this role you will coordinate delivery of high quality and cost-effective operational Community Engagement strategies and approaches that promote awareness of programs and optimise outcomes in response to identified customer needs.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in:

  • coordinating the delivery of Community Engagement strategies that promote programs optimised for identified customer needs
  • influencing effective Community Engagement program design and delivery by researching and identifying the specific issues, needs and interests of target audiences
  • seeking solutions to  issues impacting future Community Engagement strategies, approaches and programming.

To be successful in the role you will need:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in Community Engagement
  • Experience in preparing and delivering Community Engagement programs for a variety of stakeholders, in particular rural communities
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams and organisations to deliver successful project
  • Excellent communication skills, be self-motivated and eager to contribute to team outcomes.
