In this role, you'll:
You will assist in the delivery of the full range of internal and external strategic communication and stakeholder engagement services within This role will also provide services across community consultation, communications and engagement strategies, customer information and issues management.
Some key elements of the role include:
• Support in the development, implementation, and evaluation of communication and stakeholder engagement strategies and plans
• Coordinate and provide support in the delivery of events, workshops, and community consultation activities
• Contribute to a program of building community awareness
• Provide specialist advice and services including community consultation, communications and engagement strategies

About you
You are a dynamic individual with strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships. Your experience engaging with the Community and experience in managing project communications would be seen as an asset to our team. To be successful in this role you will have tertiary qualification in media, communications, public relations or demonstrated experience working in a similar position.
You will also have experience in developing communications plans involving community consultation and engagement. You bring demonstrated achievement in the development and implementation of innovative communications, issues management, information provision and stakeholder and community engagement strategies. Valid driver’s license and capacity to travel occasionally within the region is also essential.
This position is based in Wollongong and offers flexible, hybrid work arrangements. This is a temporary position until 30th June 2025. The salary for this position USS 8 ($111,090- $119,209) per annum plus superannuation.
