ADD VALUE - THE ROLE
The Community Engagement Officer - Village Projects is responsible for leading engagement activities within the community of Jerrys Plains, Bulga and Milbrodale and providing administrative support to the Mount Thorley Warkworth Voluntary Planning Agreement Committee and the United Wambo Voluntary Planning Agreement Committee to enable the successful implementation of community enhancement projects.
This role provides assistance to the communities in the identification of suitable community enhancement proposals and provides regular and informative updates to the community on the delivery of the projects. The Officer is also responsible for the development of project scopes, the undertaking of project monitoring and reporting processes in respect to the agreed community enhancement works program.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Certificate level qualifications in business, administration or Community Engagement and/or equivalent relevant training and experience;
- Sound knowledge of Community Engagement principles and practices;
- Demonstrated contemporary experience in the research, planning, development, implementation, evaluation and reporting of innovative Community Engagement programs;
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills that include the ability to communicate, negotiate and consult with internal and external stakeholders;
- High level attention to detail, effective time management and prioritisation skills with ability to be flexible to meet business and stakeholder requirements;
- Advanced report writing skills; and
- Sound knowledge of Project Management principles and practices.
This position is offered on a 2-year temporary contract on a full-time basis working 35 hours per week.
Remuneration package for this position is based on Grade 12 of Council's Salary System Protocol which equates to a base salary of $87,136 - $98,016 per annum plus superannuation.
