We are seeking to build our care team with a variety of experienced and passionate Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Assistants who are excited to support their clients to remain at home by providing them with all aspects of caregiving and nursing.
Nurse Next Door Brisbane operates along the eastern corridor of Brisbane, spanning from Bracken Ridge in the Northside, throughout Brisbane and right down to Thornlands in the Redlands. Currently, the Southside Brisbane Client Caseload is in a period of growth and as such we are hiring passionate people to join our Southside Team. We operate 24 hours per day and 7 days a week so availability and flexibility is must.

- 5 x Casual Enrolled Nurse Caregivers OR Support Workers to support our growing business

We provide around-the-clock care, so your visits may be scheduled in the early mornings, during the day, in the afternoons, evenings, or as active or in-active overnight stays to meet our client's needs.
You will work in a very supportive team of caregivers and caregiver nurses who are supported by Clinical Team Leaders and a Clinical Manager (Registered Nurse). We aim to be an employer you will love to work for and provide ongoing guidance and Support to you during your Nurse Next Door career.
Responsibilities
- Provide a premium care experience to our clients that is genuine, compassionate and personalised
- Deliver care following the client's care plan that has been developed by the Clinical Manager (Registered Nurse)
- Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly.
- Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
- Conduct Nursing Assessments
- Provide all aspects of caregiving and nursing support to our clients
- Be able to work unsupervised, assessing and implementing wound care, medication management, diabetes management, catheter support and other work within your scope of practice and training.
Skills & Experience
- Previous community nursing or caregiving is highly regarded
- Experience working with Subacute clients and people with various disabilities, ageing clients and mental health clients is highly regarded
- Experience with using slide sheets, hoists or other manual handling equipment is highly regarded
- Proven problem solving skills and the ability to work with clients with challenging behaviours required
- Ability to identify and report client care concerns to the Clinical Manager
- Catheter management experience regarded (where within scope of practice and training)
- Diabetes management experience preferred
- Wound management experience preferred
- Medication management experience preferred

Mandatory Requirements

- Be coachable
- Current AHPRA Registration for Nurses
- Valid First Aid & CPR certification
- National Police Check (Aged Care/ Vulnerable Persons Sector)
- Working With Children Check or NDIS Worker Clearance
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Completion
- Current Queensland Drivers License
- Must be able to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccinations where applicable
