Community Event Assistant
Council is seeking a suitably qualified applicant/s to fill the temporary full-time role of Community Events Assistant.
Reporting directly to the Community Development Coordinator, this position will assist in the planning and delivery of Community Events in all aspects of Council’s core Community Events Program.
Job Description
As the Community Events Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Community Development team in the planning, development and delivery of Community Events, youth events, sponsorship events, internal events and award programs.
You will be adept at developing relationships with a range of stakeholders within the organisation, the community and with government and non-government agencies.
You will have demonstrated event experience, including budget management and the management of staff and volunteers.
We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated individual with excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
As Council events operate 7 days per week, hours will be rostered over a 7-day period and you may need to be available for work Sunday to Saturday. Penalty rates apply for Saturday and Sunday work as per the Broken Hill City Council Consent Award.
