Community Facilities Booking Officer

The Package: $64,328.16 - $71,082.96 gross per annum 11% super. Evaluated as Grade 7 of the QPRC Salary System. Full Time – 38 hours per week. Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council has the perfect job opportunity for someone who has an eye for detail and a creative flare to assist the organisation in providing high quality organisation of events. Position Overview: As an integral member of the Recreation Team, this position coordinates the delivery of booking events and functions at local Community Centres, Youth Centres and Multipurpose Halls. Working within the Recreation Team you will need to provide high quality customer service and administration duties to our local community as well as comply with workplace health and safety, risk, environmental and quality objectives and targets. Collaboration with other council staff and external stakeholders will also be a key part of your role that will aid in the delivery of Council obligations for the provision of functions and events. Who we are looking for: The successful candidate will hold relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in a similar role in a functions/events/hospitability management. Knowledge of food handling practices and hygiene is essential as well as being able to communicate effectively both oral and written form. Having good time management and able to prioritise workload are key skills that will aid in efficient outcomes. Possessing and maintaining class C Driver’s Licence essential.
