Football NSW is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Community Football Referees Coordinator. This pivotal role involves fostering relationships with referees and referee branches, facilitating education and training initiatives, and promoting refereeing within the football community. About Us:

Football NSW is the governing body for Football and Futsal in New South Wales, proudly affiliated with Football Australia (FA). Our vibrant team at Valentine Sports Park (VSP) in Glenwood, NSW, is at the heart of football excellence. VSP, often referred to as 'the home of football,' offers a fantastic work environment with state-of-the-art facilities, including staff offices, five beautiful playing fields, lecture rooms, an indoor sports hall, accommodation, a 20-meter indoor pool, cafe, and an on-site gym.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison for grassroots referees and referee branches.
  • Develop and deliver educational materials and programs to enhance the skills of community referees and referee coaches.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and support talented match officials for advancement within the FNSW referee development pathway.
  • Coordinate the schedules and activities of Referees Development Officers working with community branches and associations.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with referee branches and associations, providing assistance with course administration and strategic initiatives for referee retention and recruitment.
  • Produce educational materials and engage with associations and clubs to support referee recruitment efforts.
  • Recommend talented referees for participation in FNSW referee development programs.
  • Conduct referee branch forums and deliver support for community branches participating in FNSW fixtures.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum Level 3 Referee qualification.
  • Experience in conducting educational and training sessions for groups.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional customer service and resolve issues effectively.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Familiarity with competition management systems (e.g., Dribl) and PlayFootball.
  • Knowledge of Football NSW competitions structure and FIFA Laws of the Game.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and evenings, with willingness to travel.

Requirements:

  • Commitment to Football NSW values, behaviours, and culture.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Working with Children Number for paid workers.

Professional Experience/Qualification:

  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
