About this OpportunityIn collaboration with the Philanthropy and Engagement team, as the Community Fundraising Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and developing fundraising opportunities and activities with corporate partners & sponsors, businesses, individuals, and community groups across South Australia and the Northern Territory.
As the Community Fundraising Specialist, you will maintain external business relationships and develop offline and online strategies that increase donations to RFDS SA/NT from individuals, community groups, and businesses, conducting fundraising through their networks and communities.
This integral role specifically involves:
- Identifying opportunities to increase engagement and fundraising revenue streams from new and existing (third-party) community events.
- Representing RFDS SA/NT at (third-party) community events in both metropolitan and regional areas.
- Speaking to cross-sections of the community to strengthen relationships and enhance our profile and the general public’s understanding of the role of RFDS SA/NT.
You are:
- Able to work effectively and maintain relationships with a diverse range of people within the community.
- Well organised, with ability to demonstrate initiative, determine priorities and work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent at communicating via written and verbal methods.
- Able to deliver professional, effective presentations to corporate and community audiences.
- A creative problem-solver, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines in line with time, cost, and quality requirements.
To be considered for the role you require:
- Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing, public relations (or similar) or demonstrated equivalent experience within the field.
- Current and valid drivers licence issued from an Australian State or Territory.
- Proven track record of achieving event fundraising targets.
- A high level of computer literacy utilising Microsoft Office, CRM Fundraising Software (Raiser’s Edge) and online fundraising/crowdfunding platforms (such as Raisely, My Cause etc).
- Experience in the production of marketing and promotional materials.
