About the Role

  • The Nurse Educator leads and supports a culture of development and enquiry which actively encourages and facilitates clinical, professional, and organisational learning within a Supported Practice Framework.
  • The Nurse Educator – Community is responsible for the oversight, support, and organisation of an education program to support the function of addiction and Mental Health nurses across the sites.
  • Provide education leadership and expertise in determining the learning needs and mechanisms for the nursing workforce to foster a culture of learning in the workplace.
  • Design and develop, in collaboration with the Team Leaders, an educational framework and operational plan in relation to nursing education and training to include performance coaching and mentoring for all levels of staff from beginning practitioner to advanced clinician.
