The role:

  • Promote, develop and provide Occupational Therapy (OT) services in accordance with professional standards, best practice and evidence, to community clients, predominantly in rural locations.
  • Provide professional advice and education to others regarding the field of specialisation and related areas.
  • Assist with planning, coordinating and evaluation of service provision to clients and their families/carers. Collaborates with client, carer(s) and other members of the health care team to ensure the delivery of high quality health care.
  • Provide clinical direction and professional supervision and support to Level 1/2 Occupational Therapists, allied health assistants and undergraduate occupational therapy students where required.

The East Coast Allied Health Team

  • Part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team that includes physiotherapy, social work, allied health assistant and admin.
  • Works closely with staff across the St Helens and St Marys district hospitals.
  • Able to access professional support and supervision from senior OT staff.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, part time, day worker position working 22.8 hours per fortnight, commencing from 1 November 2024.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Salary: $106,966 - $123,013 pa per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

  • Please note that access to salaries beyond $115,573 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
  • Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Union Wages Agreement 2022

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia

  2. Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia

  3. Current Driver’s Licence

*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
