About the Role
The Community Paediatric Speech Pathologist will be a valued member of the Community Health team and will be required to provide clinically effective services for the clients of Wodonga Community health through competent application of client centred care and evidenced based practices for:
Swallowing and feeding
Phonology
Articulation
Language
Hearing
Voice
General communication
We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity.
Bachelor or Masters of Speech Pathology or equivalent and eligible for full practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
Current competency in provision of clinical assessment and intervention for feeding, communication, language, and speech skills for clients eligible to access CH services – 0-12 years with priority for 0-6 years.
Demonstrated ability to manage Community Health demand both in accordance with DHHS (Vic) priorities and policy, as well as evidenced based practice.
Understanding of scope of other relevant local services and strategies to optimise outcomes for vulnerable clients through service coordination with these service providers.
Demonstrated ability to work with an Allied Health Assistant to delegate and supervise clinical and non-clinical tasks.
Employment Type: This is a 12 month Fixed-Term, Part-Time opportunity, 2 days (16 hours) per week.
