Your opportunity
As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of our clients. You will join our team of other experienced nurses, caregivers and support staff, who are dedicated to delivering compassionate and professional care that enhances the wellbeing of our clients.
Our clients’ needs are varied and diverse, and we also recognise and celebrate the uniqueness of our staff. You will be enthusiastic, caring, and have a strong sense of accountability and ethics. As a Registered Nurse with Alcerta Care you will contribute to the daily nursing needs of our clients, within your scope of practice. These needs will vary according to their specific care plan. Some of the tasks you will be performing include:
- Wound Care: Both simple and complex wound care including Vac Dressings.
- Medication Management and Administration
- Enteral Feeding: Management of PEJ’s, JEJ’s etc including feeding regimes and cares.
- Continence Management
- Care Planning: Full nursing assessment and care planning.
- Diabetic Management: Blood sugar monitoring
- Other tasks as required or directed by the Nurse Manager or senior nursing staff.
About You
Mandatory qualifications
- Tertiary Nursing Qualification and Current AHPRA registration with no restrictions.
- Previous experience as a Registered Nurse in the Aged Care and/or Disability Sector, community experience viewed favorably;
- 12 months Post Graduate experience is preferred
- Demonstrated experience in best practice clinical care including but not limited to clinical assessment, care plan implementation, wound care and management, medication support, continence assessments and management, clinical monitoring, nursing advice and recommendations and general nursing duties in conjunction with the client’s personal care plan.
- Yellow card and Blue card or ability to obtain before commencing
- Current Australian Drivers Licence and a reliable, comprehensively insured motor vehicle
Requirements of the role
- The right to work in Australia.
- National Criminal Clearance Check conducted within the last three months.
- Manual Handling Certificate.
- NDIS worker screening
- Current CPR/BLS Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
- Reliable smartphone.
- Ability to communicate in a clear and deliberate manner.
- Ability to adjust the message to a variety of clients from differing backgrounds and levels of capacity.
- Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently in line with time commitments.
