The M80 Ring Road Alliance (comprising of MACA, Acciona and AECOM) has been selected to design and construct the M80 Ring Road Completion Project. We are seeking to appoint a Community Relations Manager – Trader Engagement to join our team based primarily at our Watsonia project site in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. The successful candidate will:
- Become an active member of a highly experienced, supportive and inclusive team in this challenging fast-paced role.
- Develop and lead the project-wide Trader Engagement and business support function.
- Apply a think outside the box approach to trader support initiatives and activities.
The package of works covers the design and construction of the North East Link between the M80 - Plenty Rd interchange, and the north tunnel entrance at Watsonia. Works include three kilometres of new freeway, two kilometres of freeway upgrades, construction of retaining walls and bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, and urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028.

Responsibilities will include:
- Champion implementation of the project’s Business Disruption Mitigation Plan.
- Work closely with the project construction teams to develop a detailed, up-to-date knowledge of the works program to communicate to traders in a clear and timely manner.
- Identify Trader Engagement issues, both current and emerging, and develop strategies to help manage them.
- Use outside the box thinking to develop and implement innovative trader support solutions.
- Apply exceptional attention to detail to the writing, design, production and distribution of communication collateral.
- Ensure the timely and accurate application of the Major Road Projects Victoria branding guidelines.
We are looking for:
- Extensive and demonstrable industry experience in a Trader Engagement role.
- Excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills with a focus on collaboration.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Tertiary qualification in communications or equivalent industry experience
