The City’s Community Development Directorate provides abroad range of facilities, services, projects, and events thatdirectly impact the daily lives of our 224,000 residents andvisitors.
The Directorate works to develop safe and vibrant places anddeliver services and facilities to support a community that ishealthy, welcoming, and thriving.
Our Community Safety Team provide a highly visible andresponsive Community Safety service in partnership with theCommunity to contribute to a safe and secure lifestyle andsustainable city.
About the Position
The Engagement Officer works closely with the local communityand maintains partnerships with community groups, local schools andWA Police to increase awareness of Community Safety issues andencourage engagement with relevant City of Stirlinginitiatives.
Key Responsibilities
The duties of the Engagement Officer will include but are notlimited to:
- Deliver community engagement activities and programs to increase awareness of services provided by the Community Safety team.
- Deliver events to engage with the community on safety issues.
- Facilitate and coordinate the development of advertising and marketing campaigns to promote Community Safety issues across the City.
- Assist in the evaluation and the identification of initiatives for program development and improvement.
About You

- Tertiary Qualification in relevant field and/or relevant experience
- Experience working in crime prevention and community safety
- Highly developed conflict resolution, networking, and negotiation skills
- High-level customer service skills
- Working With Children Check (Required)

This permanent full-time position is a Level 6 Inside WorkforceAgreement position which attracts a salary from $82,652.26 -$87,002.29 gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation.
To be eligible to work for us, you need to provide, orhave ability obtain a:
- A copy of Australian driving licence
- National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months)
- Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance
- The right to work in Australia
