About the opportunity
As a Community Engagement Advisor, you’ll play a pivotal role in championing initiatives that drive positive social change and enhance the lives of our residents. You’ll build the capacity of the organisation to engage effectively with community in order to deliver programs and projects. All that, while working alongside dedicated professionals committed to making a difference.
In this role, you will undertake duties such as:
- Fostering a two-way conversation between the City and the community
- Lead strategic initiatives to shape the future of the community
- Develop the capability of staff to engage effectively
- Lead training and development workshops and conversations
- Develop engagement plans, and measure data and trends to inform future decision making.
What we’re looking for
- Community Engagement Expertise: Bring your passion for Community Engagement and social inclusion, along with experience in developing and implementing engagement strategies.
- Strategic Thinker: Demonstrate your ability to lead, manage, and coordinate community consultation processes, ensuring that the City is responsive to community needs and aspirations.
- Effective Communicator: Can confidently communicate across a diverse audience in written and verbal forms as well as in presentations.
- Operationally Sound: Comfortably navigate digital engagement platforms and support the management of online engagement portals to maximize community involvement.
