Form of workJoin the Community Safety team of a leading Northern Suburbs council. Full and Part time opportunities for Community Safety Officers educating and enforcing relevant acts and regulations. Multiple Roles available on an immediate start for at least 4 weeks with possibilty of extention.
Successful applicants must be available to work over a 7-day roster, including outside of business hours and be flexible in working areas across Council, where required.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- High skill level/experience in dog handling, expiations, conflict resolution
- Undertake investigation, make recommendations, issue notices and orders.
- Prepare court proceedings and represent Council as required
- Advise public on Community Safety and assist in the development, delivery and implementation of educational and operational programs, projects and initiatives
- Educate residents and businesses on their responsibilities in relation to nuisance and litter control Act
- Monitor roads, open spaces and beaches for compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and procedures
Qualifications and experience:
Essential
- Current South Australian Driver's Licence
- Ability to work over a 7-day roster, including outside of business hours and be flexible in working areas across Council, where required.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt and relate to people from diverse backgrounds
- Strong research and problem solving skills
Desirable
- Experience in a regulatory role or similar
- Experience in Investigations
- Experience in conflict resolution
- Ability to apply risk management principles and processes
- The ability to interpret and apply complex legislation and with working knowledge of court procedures and evidence giving
