Join the Community Safety team of a leading Northern Suburbs council. Full and Part time opportunities for Community Safety Officers educating and enforcing relevant acts and regulations. Multiple Roles available on an immediate start for at least 4 weeks with possibilty of extention. Successful applicants must be available to work over a 7-day roster, including outside of business hours and be flexible in working areas across Council, where required. What's in it for you:

Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
High skill level/experience in dog handling, expiations, conflict resolution
Undertake investigation, make recommendations, issue notices and orders.
Prepare court proceedings and represent Council as required
Advise public on Community Safety and assist in the development, delivery and implementation of educational and operational programs, projects and initiatives
Educate residents and businesses on their responsibilities in relation to nuisance and litter control Act
Monitor roads, open spaces and beaches for compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and procedures
Qualifications and experience: Essential
Current South Australian Driver's Licence
Ability to work over a 7-day roster, including outside of business hours and be flexible in working areas across Council, where required.
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt and relate to people from diverse backgrounds
Strong research and problem solving skills
Desirable
Experience in a regulatory role or similar
Experience in Investigations
Experience in conflict resolution
Ability to apply risk management principles and processes
The ability to interpret and apply complex legislation and with working knowledge of court procedures and evidence giving
