Community Support Worker

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Community Support Worker! You will provide housing and Community Support to 45 single men experiencing homelessness with a history of trauma, disadvantage and health issues.
Responsibilities include

• Support residents by developing rapport and appropriate, professional relationships
• Maintain accurate note keeping using SAMIS to ensure all staff are informed
• Provide therapeutic living and working environment
• Provide a trauma informed and strengths-based model of care
• Understanding of homelessness and its impact on service users
• Build a strong culture in the team based on mutual respect and collaboration

This is a permanent part-time position, 28.5 hours per week, Footscray, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Award Level 4.
What you will have

• Minimum Diploma in Community Support Work or related field - or willingness to study
• Experience and knowledge of housing and homelessness sector (desirable)
• Fully vaccinated for COVID 19
• Disclosure of pre-existing health conditions that may impact on fulfilling position requirements
• Full Victorian Driver's Licence
