Tell me more..To participate as a collaborative member of the Cape Cluster Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drug Service supporting clinical positions in the management of mental health and AOD care. The role will be required to work across the full age spectrum (whole of life) and across the mental health and alcohol and other drug portfolios. The purpose of this position is to provide culturally appropriate interventions, education and advice on social and cultural issues that are relevant for treatment of Indigenous consumers. This will occur in partnership with community stakeholders and other government departments to facilitate the prevention or minimisation of mental health and alcohol and other drug related problems. Cape Cluster MHAODS works with a harm reduction philosophy within a recovery focused community development and engagement model. This position is based in Cairns and travel weekly (FIFO) to various communities in Cape York.
