We are recruiting a permanent, part-time Support Worker for our Family Mental Health Service in Hervey Bay. The team provides early intervention and support to assist children and young people with, or at risk of developing, mental health concerns. The hours are school friendly - Mondays, 9 am - 3.30 pm, Wednesdays 9 am - 4.30 pm and Fridays, 9 am - 3.30 pm.
As a Support Worker, you will:
- Meet with children, young people and families for assessments and referrals
- Provide one-on-one support and lead group activities to support tangible improvements in the day-to-day life of children and young people
- Undertake case management and maintain case notes and data
- Promote IMPACT's services and community awareness of mental health issues
To enjoy this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field, e.g. mental health
- Demonstrated experience working with young people who have mental health concerns
- Relevant life experience and/or understanding of the issues facing children and young people with mental health concerns
- Experience in conducting intakes and assessments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to engage in community networking opportunities
