The Nuero Practice carer Services is a local Community Support provider. A registered NDIS provider we support people in the Bendigo community who are living independently with a disability.
We are seeking individuals with a great work ethic, eagerness to learn, study or develop skills that promote ongoing excellent community based support services.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Our Community Support Worker’s assist clients to remain living independently in their own home and community. No day is ever time same! Some but not all tasks you will be providing:
- assistance in community (example: appointments & grocery shopping)
- assistance with self care
- transport
- skill development, prompting and motivation.
- assistance with light domestic duties
- Note- this position requires travel between clients
About you
You are a dedicated and reliable individual who is flexible and has great customer service skills. An eagerness to provide exceptional support to people living with a disability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of the team, enjoying a degree of autonomy in your role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working in a community disability setting or similar.
Essential
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
- Hold a current minimum Level 2 First Aid Certificate & CPR
- Have a recent and clear (3 month) National Police Check
- Current Working with Children Check
- Up to Date Flu Vaccination
- Must have a roadworthy vehicle, Australian Drivers License and Comprehensive Car Insurance.
- Own a mobile smart phone- that can use a cloud based scheduling app.
- Hold a minimum Cert III in Aged Care/Individual Support, or Cert4 in Disability Support
