You will work as one of two Community Support Workers in our Social Support program working closely with our Families Worker and the English and Computer Literacy tutors.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a Social Support Program for HPUC community
- Provide personal, emotional, and social support
- Foster a client-centered environment
- Connect clients and families to appropriate resources
- Conduct initial risk assessments
- Establish on-the-ground support services
Requirements:
- Formal qualification in Community or Human Services
- Strong empathy and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion
- Current Working with Children Check, Police Check, CPR, and First Aid certifications
