ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Since 2014, Tiwi Designs has established a successful cultural day tour ‘Tiwi by Design’ in partnership with SeaLink Ferries. The tour has become very popular and in 2020 Tiwi Designs built a 2 storey 10 room guest house to maximise opportunities in developing cultural tourism products.
The Tiwi Design Manager and Studio Coordinator will manage the day-to-day operations of the Art Centre. The team offers key support and liaison between the artists, employees, and the marketplace. This is a dynamic role and requires the full commitment from a highly motivated, experienced, and resourceful couple. A demonstrated commitment toward empowerment and facilitating cultural and economic development is essential.
Throughout the year up to 40 artists use the facilities of Tiwi Design with a regular daily stream of around 15 - 20 artists.
