About the role

The Community Venues team currently manage 18 venues for hire across Meri-bek. Reporting to Team Leader Community Venues, this role facilitates the administration of venues for hire in accordance with Council’s policies and service level agreements. With a focus on quality customer service, community and relationship-building, the Community Venues Booking Officer ensures expected levels of service and presentation are achieved as well as assisting with the marketing and promotion of Council managed venues for hire.

We are seeking enthusiastic, driven, and customer focussed persons to help us rebuild or venue usage following the COVID restrictions.

Skills and experience require to perform the role
  • Experience in facility and venue hire requirements.
  • Experience in managing booking systems and processes and administration.
  • Experience in customer service and stakeholder relationship development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
