About the Role
We are looking for a qualified Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract at our manufacturing facility, located at Josephville, which is approximately 90km south of Brisbane.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation of management and financial accounting information and reports.
- Preparation of Fringe Benefits Tax Return.
- Preparation of GST Business Activity Statement for Australia and New Zealand.
- Cash Management and Treasury Reporting.
- Intercompany confirmations and payment function.
- Inventory costing, review and processing unblended manufacturing orders.
- Maintenance of fixed asset register and CWIP schedules.
- Processing general ledger journals and reconciliation’s.
- Provision of accounting support for other positions as required.
- Assist Financial Controller with various projects as required.
- Accounts Receivable including Credit Control.
- Maintaining Inventory Database including Stocktake reconciliations.
- Assist with Budget and Forecast preparation.
- Submitting Duty Drawback Returns.
- Other reasonable and relevant tasks completed as required from time to time.
About You
- Tertiary degree/or equivalent in relevant discipline, with 5+ years’ experience.
- Knowledge of Australian accounting standards and policies.
- Knowledge of company income tax laws.
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
