About the roleOur Competitor Intelligence Analyst maintain an up-to-date analysis of the competitive landscape to assist in defining our product development strategy. They will collect, analyse, summarise and report product feedback from various channels to surface insights for product improvements and future capabilities.

Responsibilities

Competitor Intelligence & Market Analysis 

  • Monitor market trends, analyse competitors' products, pricing strategies, and other business activities.  
  • Gather, analyse, and disseminate information about our industry, competitors, and customers.  
  • Attend conference sand industry events to gather intelligence and understand the market landscape 
  • Undertake trials and demonstrations of market leading software and tools 
  • Analyse the adjacent or potential market segments where our products may have a potential to gain market share 
  • Conduct win/loss analysis and use information from other customer feedback channels to produce competitor intelligence material for sales and product. 
  • Develops systematic approach to understanding competitor product positioning, product roadmaps, pricing strategies etc.  
  • Develop and maintain competitor battlecards for use by sales, product, & marketing  
  • In collaboration with the marketing team, support the creation of marketing and sales collateral. These are digestible, well-sourced, and actionable materials that speak to specific pain points, messaging, or use cases.  
  • Understand what customers want, how they make purchasing decisions, and what they think of our company and its products. 
  • Share insights and create reports to summarise, generalise and visualise competitor and market analysis information. 
  
Product Feedback Analysis 
  • Establish and maintain systems to collect, analyse and report product feedback from multiple channels: Hubspot, Support portal, Customer Success (Tradecraft) team, Sales team, and Direct customer requests 
  • Actively engage with the Customer Success (Tradecraft) and Sales teams to elicit product feedback from trials and production deployments and update those teams on the status of support tickets and feature requests. 
  • Share insights and create reports to summarise, generalise and visualise product feedback for the Product, Tradecraft and Sales teams to surface insights for product improvements and future capabilities. 
  • Work with the Product Managers to prioritise feedback and manage the lifecycle of support tickets and feature requests. 

Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in market analysis, science, international relations, statistics, or related STEM areas 
  • 3+ years’ experience in market & competitive analysis, data analysis, technical business analysis, or related fields  
  • Experience using and evaluating OSINT tools  
  • Strong research skills, stakeholder management, problem solving, and report writing 
  • Strong organisation skills, detail orientated, and a collaborative team player  
  • Ability to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights and evaluate options for decision making  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively present and discuss complex information, analysis, and findings
