About The Role

We are currently seeking Completions Engineer (PE) for a high profile Civil project in Sydney, This role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise. The purpose of this role is on site verification of physical completion activities (ie. Inspections and capture of defects) and documentary evidence required in order to discharge contract, statutory and regulatory obligations, during the construction, commissioning, handover and post-handover phases of the works, in order to demonstrate operational readiness, achieve project or stage completion and contract finalisation.

 Key responsibilities

  • Lead defect construction verification and asset operator/owner close out.
  • Record and monitor defects and omissions in accordance with associated plan or procedure and map against any design changes.
  • Work collaboratively and efficiently with all project stakeholders to ensure sign-off and handover for construction verification, commissioning, handover requirements and final acceptance is achieved.
  • Develop requirements for handover O&M Manuals for multiple sites.
  • Responsible for collation and verification of all requirements for O&M Manuals.
  • Works with the interface and handover team to meet all handover deadlines for submission of documentation to fulfil contractual requirements.

Other Responsibilities

  • Execution and continuous improvement of Project Completions processes and procedures.
  • Monitoring and execution of the project Completions Management System (CMS) including performing change management as and where required.
  • Assist with tracking and reporting status of handover packages to the project controls, construction, commissioning, and quality teams to ensure that completions activities for assigned packages of works are progressed as early and efficiently as possible to meet project programme.

About you

  • Comfortable and experienced in leading client facing inspections and meetings.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar safety Assurance or Completions and/or Engineering roles in the rail.
  • Degree in an Engineering Discipline e.g. civil, mechanical, electrical or Construction Management with experience in delivering work as a work package engineer. (Not a requirement)
  • Experience with CCMS Completions Management Systems and/or database.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Be a self-starter / self-leader who thrives on taking responsibility, driving time focused business outcomes, whilst having the ability and confidence to work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and respond to changing business requirements in a positive manner, with excellent time management skills
  • A positive, energetic, and flexible approach to work
