About the Compliance Analyst Role
Reporting to the Manager Compliance, this role touches key functions in the ZEN business, with a concurrent focus on fostering a growth oriented, positive, and encouraging environment while keeping employees and management accountable to company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
What we will ask you to do:
• ISO Compliance for 9001 Quality, 14001 Environment and 45001 WHS
• Maintaining Intern Audit Schedule Register
• Maintaining the Policies/Procedures, Documents and Records Register and ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accurate
• Maintaining the Business Improvements Register
• Effective translation of compliance requirements into policy, processes, and operational culture, with a focus on achieving ISO industry best practice
• Liaising with other departments to ensure that all necessary information is gathered and organized.
• Assisting with the collection of data to support Compliance reports required
• Monthly status reports of Non-conformances
• Assisting with IMS audits and inspections
• Assisting HR with the co-ordination of Bi-Monthly WHS Committee Meeting
• Continually seek to improve the quality and operation of the IMS via internal and external stakeholder involvement.
Retailer Energy Productivity Scheme (REPS) Compliance
• Record Keeping and Quality Assurance:
• Review, identify anomalies and validate all data and information provided by the approved Activity Provider in relation to each energy productivity activity.
• Undertake analysis and generate reports of the data and information provided by the approved Activity Provider to inform the business as to the status of its’ REPS obligations.
• Actively engage with the approved Activity Provider to address any issues with the data or information provided and ensure it is resolved quickly and efficiently.
• Engage with stakeholders to provide timely information regarding customer engagement, market outcomes and decision making.
• Maintain records in accordance with REPS code.
Compliance Reporting:
• Meet all reporting and compliance obligations in according with the Retailer Energy Productivity Scheme (REPS) Code.
• Ensuring all reporting requirements are provided to the Commission according to the REPS regulations including information statements.
• Ensure regular reporting and statistical information is provided as required by the REPS code and/or internal stakeholders, such as Operations, Trading, Finance, Risk, and senior management.
• In partnership with the Activity Provider, ensure audits are undertaken and provided to the Commission as required.
• Ensure all obligations under the approved REPS compliance plan are met.
• Ensure all identified REPS related issues are dealt with in conjunctions with ZEN’s appointed Activity Provider in a timely matter.
• Monitor and ensure any customer complaints are dealt with according to the REPS code and reported on accordingly.
• Generate and provide regular reporting as required by internal stakeholders, such as Operations, Trading, Finance, Risk, and senior management.
• Generate and provide statistical information to the Commission as required under the REPS code.
• In partnership with the Activity Provider, ensure audits are undertaken and provided to the Commission as required.
Retail Compliance
• Keeping up to date with changes to Retail regulations and standards.
• Assisting Manager of Compliance with the monthly ZEN Compliance Meeting, ensure all internal and external stakeholders are kept informed as required.
Wholesale Compliance
• Assisting Manager compliance with
• Performing Counterparty Know Your Client Checks.
• Performing Counterparty Wholesale Client Checks.
• Developing (and delivery) the annual compliance review plan for RMC approval.
• Ensuring Renewable Energy audits are conducted on time.
• Reporting on non-compliances in accordance with the policy
• Maintenance of non-compliance register.
Required Skills/Education:
Skills and Experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Energy preferably with exposure in Compliance, Contracts, and quality assurance.
• Knowledge of ISO Compliance and Standards
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organisational skills with a problem-solving attitude
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in compliance reporting and business compliance framework
Technical Capabilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft suite including but not limited to excel, PowerPoint, word etc.
• Proficiency in using databases.
Interpersonal Capabilities
• You will engage collaboratively with stakeholders across the business and externally as well.

• A strong attention to detail, self-organisation, and ability to meet deadlines is important.
