Job description

A new position in Compliance and Quality Assurance has opened up to oversee product Compliance and ethical sourcing for our expanding selection of craft, gift, and home products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the wide range of products supplied by Kaisercraft are safe, of good quality and comply with all applicable mandatory and industry product standards. 
  • Work as part of our product development and design teams to ensure all product complies with destination market requirements.
    Establish and oversee product compliance/quality control policies for all own-branded ranges.
  • Establish and oversee ethical sourcing policies for all own branded ranges; and ensure compliance of our suppliers and supply chains.
  • Arrange and oversee product testing and assessment as required.
  • Assist/Advise upon compliant packaging and labelling in-line with relevant requirements
  • Review all samples and packaging during development to ensure compliance.
  • Review final production product and packaging upon arrival to ensure compliance

 About you: 

  • Expertise in Quality Assuranceand Quality control processes, as well as ethical sourcing requirements and procedures.
  • An excellent understanding of Australia’s product safety regulatory framework, including the Australian Consumer Law and mandatory and industry product standards - a familiarity with art supplies and/or toys and infant products will be highly regarded
  • An understanding of US and EU product safety standards and consumer laws (familiarity with art supplies and/or toys and infant products preferred).
  • Ability to apply above standards to new and existing products and to develop appropriate labelling and packaging accordingly.
  • An understanding of manufacturing and product development, including product testing processes.
  • Attention to detail and strong technical skills.
  • Judgement and ability to assess risk and articulate reasons in support of decisions or approaches.
  • Great communication skills and the ability to work across different teams within Kaisercraft and with our suppliers and industry bodies.
