- Influence the Business Unit's strategic decisions and align the goals of their function with the broader Business Unit goals.
- Lead staff and influence other internal and external partners to achieve the function's goals and promote the Business Unit in external forums.
- Negotiate the budget for the function including securing external funds.
- Prepare estimates and project management plans.
- Prepare tender documents, analyse tenders, and administer contracts.
- Ensure buildings and grounds are maintained in line with Property Strategy
- Be responsible for the control and management of stores, including purchasing, storage, and issue.
- Manage & lead maintenance and Service contracts.
- Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities.
- Establish and implement a security protocol for documents.
- Ensure and prepare reports required for statutory or compliance reasons.
- Writing new work procedures and modifying existing ones as required.
- Under limited direction, use technical expertise to lead a range of support activities/functions, or be responsible/for a number of smaller projects, with independence of action within their own function, achieving results through the use and allocation of available resources, within constraints laid down by managers. (Including responsibility for results)
- Act as a trusted advisor and demonstrate creativity in anticipating client needs.
- Relevant certificate/diploma/bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience in librarianship, information management or relevant disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the operation and management of governance and management systems.
- Proven experience in the implementation and management of documentation management systems.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and demonstrated project planning experience, with a proven track record of delivery.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and influence a wide range of stakeholders across multiple levels of an organisation.
- Six Sigma or other recognised process assessment certification.
- Experience in process development and improvement toward Quality Assurance and technical best practices.
- Experience in the management of Quality Assurance Systems within a technical environment.
- Auditor qualifications in Quality and/or Safety and/or Environmental Management Systems.
- Experience in relevant Documentation Systems.
