Job Title: Compliance & Complaints Officer
Location: Tanah Merah, QLD
I'm currently working with a industry leader in the financial services sector and they are seeking an experienced Compliance & Complaints Officer to join their team. In the dual role as a Compliance & Complaints Officer, you will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining our compliance framework while providing exceptional customer service in handling complaints.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate and resolve complaints through phone and written communication in a timely and empathetic manner.
- Prepare and submit ASIC Complaint reports.
- Assist in developing compliance processes and provide advice on regulatory matters.
- Monitor and improve compliance systems, ensuring adherence to regulatory obligations.
- Prepare reports for internal Compliance Committees and the Board of Directors.
- Advise on incidents and breaches, offering solutions for remediation.
- Analyze and provide guidance on regulatory obligations, ensuring compliance with APRA, ASIC, OAIC, AUSTRAC, FSC, and other regulatory bodies.
- Offer comprehensive guidance for compliance with evolving regulatory requirements.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in compliance and/or disputes role (AFSL and/or ACL experience preferred).
- Knowledge of regulatory bodies and guidelines such as APRA, ASIC, AOIC, AUSTRAC, ACMA.
- Experience in producing submissions to external bodies and reporting to boards and committees.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage workloads independently.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify risk areas and solutions.
