About the Role:
We are currently seeking dynamic individuals to join us as Compliance/Investigations Officers/Project Officers on behalf of our esteemed client in the Federal Government Sector. This role, based in Parramatta or Penrith, offers a hybrid working model. The Successful candidates will play a vital role in ensuring regulatory compliance and implementing initiatives to enhance the quality and safeguards for participants.
Job Responsibilities:
Contribute to both proactive and reactive regulatory activities for ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Undertake regulatory compliance actions in response to identified non-compliance and emerging risks.
Lead compliance approaches and investigations inquiries into disability service providers and support workers.
Conduct compliance monitoring and investigative activities to disrupt, prevent, and mitigate fraud following legislative requirements.
Liaise with government agencies and Taskforce partners, producing briefing papers to address risks from fraud and misuse of plan funds.
Conduct quality assessments on briefings, administrative decisions, and statutory powers.
Implement and monitor the impact of regulatory action, including large-scale disruption activities.
Engage across Business Unit functions, fostering cross-functional strategies to address compliance issues.
Assist providers and workers in understanding obligations and guide them in addressing non-compliance.
Collaborate locally with groups of providers for quality improvement strategies and develop educational materials.
Undertake risk-based research and analysis for compliance and investigations responses.
Prepare complex correspondence, reports, briefings, and submissions.
Contribute to compliance promotion and education campaigns.
Plan, monitor, and direct a small team's activities, setting performance indicators.
Collaborate with Legal Officers and advisers in developing compliance and investigative responses.
Collaborate with other agencies and authorities, referring matters under relevant jurisdictional law.
Essential Requirement
Appropriate tertiary qualifications or equivalent, with relevant professional experience.
