Your Team
The Compliance Advisory Team(CAT) is responsible for providing dedicated specialist advice and support to the business in managing their compliance risks. The team is the first point of contact for Hollard’s business and shared functions. As a part of this team, you will have the chance to work alongside highly experienced risk and Compliance Specialists in an interesting and fulfilling role, brimming with opportunities.
Your duties & responsibilities
Reporting to the Lead Compliance Principal, Advisory, the key areas of focus for this role include:
- Providing compliance advice to Hollard (e.g. compliance requirements, complaints management, RCSAs).
- Providing review and challenge across RCSA, RMD and remediation.
- Being the first port of call for any compliance reviews needed (e.g. marketing material, PDS, TMD, FSG etc) - ensuring the material meets legal and regulatory obligations prior to release to market.
- Supporting business understanding of compliance framework & policies and advise on embedment into processes & controls.
- Assisting with deep-dive thematic reviews and/or analysis to identify gaps in compliance or regulatory compliance issues.
- Supporting and providing compliance advice on regulatory change projects (e.g., Privacy Act Review).
Your knowledge & experience
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a Compliance role or similar function within Insurance and / or financial services compliance experience (General insurance strongly preferred).
- Legal experience/ legal degree is advantageous.
- Must have strong and proven compliance skills.
- Preferred working knowledge of APRA prudential standards, Corporations Act & Regulations, ASIC Act and Regulatory Guides, Insurance Contracts Act, and the GI Code of Practice.
- Technical Compliance Risk capability and knowledge of risk frameworks is mandatory.
