About the role:
Within this role, you will (but not limited to):
- Carry out all activities related to the management of tolling operations including defining responsibilities, providing leadership, setting goals, priorities, facilitating work, removing barriers / resolving differences and appraising performance.
- Identify and document all key processes required to operate and maintain the systems, ensuring documentation is lodged in the document management system (SharePoint and Confluence).
- Verify all operational processes during the various testing phases of the systems that interact with the tolling system.
- Lead, manage and champion (where applicable) operational cost efficiencies by implementing smarter, more robust and cost-effective processes.
- Own, manage and champion the scheduling tool (BMC Control-M and RedHat Ansible), including the creation of new tasks, building new jobs, maintaining all housekeeping activities, patching and daily scheduling requirements, and ensuring that all processing works correctly and efficiently.
- Implement, test and migrate batch processing into Control-M where appropriate.
- Implement, test and migrate Elastic Stack dashboards through Elasticsearch, Kibana, Beats & Logstash.
- Ensure all agreed Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators are met.
- Lead and manage all ConnectEast’s batches, interfaces, and associated processing.
- Coordinate any new tasks / responsibilities into operations procedures (including creating / gathering procedures, escalation information, etc).
- Track and monitor system and task status; review and audit system functions.
- Provide application-level advice/configuration change and functional support to ConnectEast customers as required.
- Lead and provide input and support to all operational-related activities including change management, operation schedules, outages (planned and unplanned) and general operational activities.
- Participate in the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of appropriate disaster recovery for all critical systems.
- Investigate and resolve any incidents or problems to root cause analysis and any change required to the system.
- Maintain confidentiality, security, and integrity with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.
- Streamline, automate and deliver processes, processing and operational activities to the end state of cost reduction where applicable.
- Review application and system error logs and action accordingly.
About you:
To be successful in the role you will bring a high level of energy and leadership qualities. You will have demonstrated experience in running projects within allocated timeframes, as well as a thirst for continuous improvement.
You will also have (but not limited to):
- A Degree qualification in Computer Science, IT or a related discipline is desirable.
- 3+ years' experience in Operations Management or related Service Desk/Technical Call Centre supervision experience including monitoring performance and resolving issues.
- 2+ years’ experience in implementing, testing and managing BMC Control-M and/or RedHat Ansible applications.
- 2+ years’ experience in Elastic Stack applications including Elasticsearch, Kibana, Beats & Logstash.
- Experience in developing/meeting internal and external SLAs, as well as an understanding of using scripting and service desk software.
- A working knowledge of various IT systems including MS and Linux Systems/applications along with an understanding of Database and networking concepts (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, Oracle, MS SQL).
- Highly driven to automate scripts, jobs, systems and processes using the available tools (BMC Control-M, RedHat Ansible, Elastic Stack) and encouraging/developing a team to pursue automation.
- Experience supporting business functions on 16-hour by seven rosters is a must.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing business needs, conditions, and work responsibilities.
- Proven track record in supporting and guiding a team to achieve desired outcomes.
- Ability to influence key stakeholders to achieve understanding, acceptance and commitment.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to use data and information to form conclusions and make decisions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including the capacity to effectively convey ideas and information in writing using language that is appropriate to both the complexity of the topic and the knowledge and understanding of the reader.

You may be required to work outside normal business hours from time to time and you must be eligible to work in Australia (citizenship or Visa sponsorship). Appointment to this position is subject to a National Police Clearance.
