Your Opportunity
Responsibilities of this role include installing and maintaining systemic management and educational delivery systems in accordance with departmental information standards and policies, advising, communicating, applying, and monitoring the implementation of departmental information standards and policies within the region, participating in service level and work practice reviews, and maintaining technical proficiency and skills.
You will also assist with the identification and development of strategies for providing training and development in the use of systems and Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) across the region.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have expert technical knowledge and experience in the selection, procurement, and installation of new hardware and software, as well as the enhancement of existing systems.
Additionally, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide expert technical advice and support to non-technical staff.
Skills in the following areas will be highly regarded:
- Sound ability and experience in the management and administration of the Microsoft HyperV system.
- A detailed working knowledge of the Windows 2016 server operating system.
- A high level of technical knowledge of server hardware and configuration, and networking infrastructure.
- A sound understanding of the principles of a network operating system.
- A good understanding of desktop, laptop, tablet and printer support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A strong client focus.
- Understanding of the benefits of a Managed Operating Environment.
- An understanding of the principles of quality assurance.
- Knowledge of latest Windows and Apple operating systems.
- Knowledge of scripting.
- A Class C Drivers Licence will be highly regarded as travel between schools is a requirement of the role.
