About your new role:
Currently, Energy Queensland has multiple permanent opportunities for Protection Systems Technicians to be located at Geebung. As the successful candidate you will be responsible for performing technical work including fault diagnosis and co-ordination of activities in the Secondary Systems work area. You will work under limited supervision and utilise technical principles, practices, techniques, and human relation skills. You will also be required to carry out high and low voltage testing, commissioning, corrective and preventative maintenance on protection, control, communications, and metering equipment. Additionally, you will undertake installation, testing, repair and commissioning tasks limited to complex electrical system components.
The remuneration for your new role is from $106k - $127k plus 12.75% super for a 9-day fortnight and from $134k - $147K plus 12.75% super for a 10-day fortnight.

About you:
Working as the Protection Systems Technician you will bring demonstrate knowledge and experience in the secondary systems area, coupled with the ability to provide leadership and technical support to individuals and teams. Additionally, you will possess:
- Electrical trade qualification with completion of relevant training and recognised experience.
- Relevant qualification (Associate Degree / Advanced Diploma) or equivalent.
- Responsibility for the provision of a safe work environment through the identification, development, and implementation of risk control measures.
- Current 'C' class open drivers’ licence.
- Ability to travel to undertake work and participate in an on-call roster.
- Ability to complete a pre-employment medical or respond to pre-employment medical questions.
- Team player attitude with confidence to develop good working relationships in a large team.
