About the Position
The Concept Engineer is accountable to the Manager Proposals & Business Development and supported by the Concept Design Manager. The Concept Engineer is a fully functioning professional engineer that delivers professional engineering assistance to Yurika in its development of energy infrastructure concept designs through the application of well-developed engineering capability.
This is a permanent position can be located in any major QLD centre. This is a Professional & Managerial Grade Two level position with salaries starting from $146,000 + 12.75% super.
The Role
Some of the accountabilities include but are not limited to:
  • Providing professional engineering advice and ensures successful delivery of allocated tasks, requiring proficiency in engineering techniques and methods, which may be subject to review.
  • Contributes to achieving the objectives of the team by conducting and completing comprehensive investigations, engineering analysis, and projects as required.
  • Contributes to developing the capability of less experienced engineers and other employees through the provision of supervision, coaching, and mentoring where required.
  • Undertakes technical reviews of tender documents and development of technical solutions, clarifications and estimate support for allocated opportunities.
  • Responsible for proposals delivery, engineering concept design and project development support.
  • Develops, promotes, and maintains good working relationships with team, internal and external stakeholders, and associates.
  • Compliance with all relevant Legislation, and Yurika policies, procedures and practices as varied from time to time.
  • Collaborates effectively managing information and confidentiality requirements across Energy Queensland Limited in accordance with applicable ring-fencing parameters.
  • Demonstrates a personal commitment to health, safety and environment and support a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Complies with all relevant legislation, policies, procedures and practices.
About you
You can demonstrated communication, teamwork, inter-personal and negotiating skills and a strong and natural ability in problem solving. You have demonstrated detailed knowledge of engineering calculations and analysis techniques You have knowledge and ability in information technology applications and detailed knowledge of high voltage infrastructure and renewables connection requirements. Furthermore, you have the ability to prioritise work to meet required targets while ensuring a commitment to workplace health and safety, and environmental practices.
Essentials
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering acceptable for membership of Institution of Engineers Australia in the Professional Engineering category
  • Current C Class Drivers License
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Queensland (RPEQ) [Desirable]
