Concrete Labourer

The primary purpose of the role is to provide a high level of service in the construction and maintenance of infrastructure in line with Council’s delivery and operational plans.
Key Accountabilities:
- Assist in the delivery of concrete works including but not limited to site preparation, formwork and reinforcement and pouring and placement of concrete
- Assist in the delivery of drainage works including but not limited to trenching, laying pipes, backfilling and construction of drainage structures
- Read and interpret basic construction plans, set out works from reference points fixed by others and carry out ongoing checks of accuracy
- Finish concrete to a high standard using hand tools and mechanical finishing machines
- Use and maintain small plant and hand tools in a safe and effective manner
- Maintain effective and timely communication with your supervisor, team and other colleagues or members of the public to ensure safe completion of quality outcomes within set timeframes, maintaining a customer service attitude at all times
We are looking for a motivated individual who is not afraid to get their hands dirty. Someone who has -
- Strong attention to detail and takes pride in their work
- Passion for the community and delivering positive outcomes
- The ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
- SafeWork Construction Induction Certificate (WHS White Card)
- Current Class MR Driver Licence
- SafeWork approved certificate for Traffic Controller
Full time: 76-hour fortnight
Salary: Range from $52,452 to $60,320 pa + 11% super
