Configuration Manager Lead

The Role

Working for the Directorate of Engineering (DENG) within Explosive Materiel Branch (EMB) the Configuration Management Team (CM Team) CM Team acts as the conduit for DENG to assure, and assist in ensuring, the safety and reliability of EMB explosive materiel to support the war fighter. 

As the Configuration Manager Lead, you will lead the team responsible for the Configuration Management of Australian Military EO You will be working with like minded individuals within Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) on classified projects and systems for the greater good of Australia and it's people. Though the discipline of CM can be rigid at times, with the current agile environment you will have to be pragmatic and measured as you drive for effective outcomes. You will do this whilst ensuring good CM principals and intent have been maintained which will help facilitate good governance, assurance and allow for good engineering practices during acquisition and through life of the EO.

This position will be required to access US export controlled materiel and therefore applicants will be requested to disclose any dual citizenship with another country during the recruitment process. Dual citizens may be subject to further assessment and appointment to this position will be conditional upon approval to access US controlled export material in accordance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

The Configuration Management Team sits under DENG within the new Guided Weapons & Explosive Ordnance Group. We are located in Canberra, Penrith, Amberley, Townsville, Newcastle and Stirling, and our focus is to ensure configuration control of the guided weapons and munitions for the Australian Defence Force.
