Overview of role
Our Connections Officer will focus on the timely response to consent to connect applications and the relevant infrastructure to facilitate it to Coliban Water standards. This position will ensure that new customers coming into the business meet the appropriate standards and requirements of Coliban Water.
A snapshot of your day
As our Connections Officer, you’ll be accountable for:
- Responding to enquiries by customers and the Development community and provide advice regarding specific development and connections issues
- Building and maintaining relationships with the Development community and other stakeholders including builders, designers and plumbers
- Undertaking inspections of recycled water connection
- Ensuring all Consent to Connect applications are processed in a timely manner and that the connection is undertaken in accordance with relevant standards.
To be considered for the role, you’ll have relevant work experience in Development Services and/or a qualification which may be acquired through:
- Diploma, level qualification in Civil Engineering or,
- Trade qualifications in plumbing or relevant discipline
- Vocational education to the standard of Certificate III/IV
- Considerable knowledge and skills gained through on-the-job training.

The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021. Band 2, $61,250 - $71,468 plus superannuation salary range will be offered to the successful candidate, commensurate with their skills and experience.
